This picture was sent to us by one of our customers, Matt McLelland, Kenco's Innovation Research manager. Matt is an expert in the subject and presented a session titled "Drones in the Supply Chain – Everything you Need to Know" to over 350 C-level executives during the SCM World Live Americas Conference last week. SCM World is a cross-industry learning community, powered by the world’s most influential supply chain practitioners.

One of the key topics discussed during the conference was that the digital revolution has renegade initiatives in robotics, internet of things, data analytics, artificial intelligence and additive manufacturing springing up. While many make promises to provide total breakthrough visibility, they can also risk creating confusion and waste.

The question becomes, how do you manage the transition between dismissing the digital wave as “hype” or naively sponsoring digital initiatives to gain total end-to-end visibility?

Let us know what you think.
